La Berlinale 69, il festival internazionale del cinema nella capitale tedesca, si terrà dal 7 al 17 Febbraio, come di consueto una settimana prima della cerimonia di premiazione degli Oscar.

Il film che aprirà le danze della Berlinale 69 sarà The Kindness of Strangers Lone Scherfig. Da segnalare la partecipazione nella sezione Competition di Fatih Akin, François Ozon, Denis Côté, Isabel Coixet, Agnès Varda, André Téchiné e Zhang Ymou. In concorso è anche presente un film italiano, La paranza dei bambini di Claudio Giovannesi.
La giuria internazionale della Berlinale 69 sarà presieduta da Juliette Binoche, che ha partecipato a diverse edizione del festival berlinese in qualità di attrice.
