Sono stati consegnati anche quest’anno i Golden Globe per le serie televisive e se poche sorprese hanno dato quelli relativi al cinema (a parte il trionfo della meravigliosa Elle) anche qui le sorprese sono solo relative. La sorpresa maggiore è sicuramente il trionfo di The Crown, che si, era tra i favoriti insieme a Stranger Things e Westworld (visto che gli altri due erano li per presenza) ma era il meno favorito. Ottimo successo anche della Foy, assolutamente meritato.
Parziale sorpresa anche per American Crime Story che vince come miglior miniserie e con la Paulson, ma tutti gli altri premi vanno a The Night Manager. Sicuramente meritati, però uno a The Night Of potevano anche darlo.
Anche Westworld e Stranger Things probabilmente almeno un premio potevano portarlo a casa.
Nelle comedy nessuna sorpresa che il successore di Transparent e Mozart in the Jungle fosse Atlanta.
Sicuramente importante sottolienare come per la prima volta il Golden Globe per miglior drama vada ad una produzione non tradizionale, ad una serie Netflix.
